Affixes are word attachments to a root or a stem of a word. These attachments are added to the front, middle or back of a word to change the meaning of a word. There are three types of affixes: suffixes, prefixes or infixes. English language uses a lot of these. This blog post will explain and give you examples of different affixes.
·         Suffixes can create new words by adding a letter or a group of letters to the end of a root word. Adding a suffix can change the spelling of a word and suffixes can have more than one meaning.
For example, when a word ends in y, that y can change to an i, when a suffix is added (happy – happiness). When adding the suffix –er, it’s often a comparative form of a word (happy – happier), but it can also refer to someone performing an action or living in a particular place (painter, singer, New Yorker).
·         Prefixes create new words with new meaning by adding an attachment to the beginning of a root word. There are prefixes that mean the same thing, but are spelled differently. And there can be different meanings for the same prefix.
Some prefixes need to be hyphenated. There are some rules on whether to hyphenate or not. For instance, when a prefix ends in the same letter as the root word starts, you need to use a hyphen (anti-inflammatory). You also need to use a hyphen when a prefix is followed by a proper noun (mid-July).
·        Infixes are not as common as suffixes and prefixes, and they are rarely used in formal writing. Infixes are attachments put in the middle of a word. They are usually used to make writing more casual or to emphasize a particular word. An example of an infix could be abso-freakin-lutely. The only time we use infixes formally are with unusual pluralization.

The Responsibility Makes Me Grow Up!
26 Mei 2019   21:38 Diperbarui: 26 Mei 2019   21:47

Learning to be responsible makes me more mature, so many things that make me required to be responsible. Starting from my family, as the last child I was given the responsibility to the independent and even had to be able to study at my own expense until I graduated from college, because in my family, only me went on the higher education.
Initially I always had negative thought on my parents, but with this I was required to be responsible for myself and this way can make me more mature. Beside, I have to be responsible for my parent.
Even though didn't earn mostly for my parents, at least I can help and care for them in their old days. I admit, this isn't a demand, but as a child I'm obliged on my parents. I'm going to make my parents happy, even though they have not yet achieved it. They could never advise me to maintain responsibility in any case.
When I entered the world of college, I found many things. Like the problems I have to face in class even outside the classroom. I have to be able to control myself and remain patient in facing problems in campus organization and so on. I feel that things are very different from the previous college environment. I have to be able to control emotions, because this is the place to find my identity and not to fall into bad shape. The experienced made me capable because adulthood are the choise.

Esemka with Chances

Before I can start my first ever kompasiana blog, I shall draw up a bit of separation. First, we are talking about a company called PT Solo Manufaktur Kreasi, not the Kiat Motor known for building the first Esemka branded car.
This confusion might, or probably had, lead to confusions among the rising critics. Especially for those of you who are across the road supporting opposition or the back benches. Second, we are about to seriously talk about an underrated way of selling. Common, back in the noir era of motorsport, but now had been largely dismissed.
The ugly duckling is called Esemka Bima, and it's white or silver. I presume it will only come in two colors with rhinoceros colored interior as the introduction. It has two trim levels: the 1.2 with 'panda' front bumper; and the 1.3 with a bigger presence.
It has stick shift, some air-con knobs (I guess they are optional extras), a stereo (also an optional extra), and two seats. The best part of the truck, it has a big bed behind; ready for the agricultural or industrial duty.
Some said, it looks like Changan StarTruck or whatever it is that is built in the big China; which eventually spiralled down as the bad press of the new local truck. The good thing is, it has one heck of an engine.
Its 1,2 liter form will produce an LCGC shaming 96,5 horsepower and 119 newton meters of torque. It weighs, empty, just shy of 1 tonnes. Lose one of the bed's door and it will smoke Aylas and Brio Satyas. Truthfully, this truck is a good start for the new Esemka.
Let's say, if the competition doesn't stop Bima.
Esemka, with its 1.2 and 1.3 Bima, will match against Daihatsu's Hijet based Hi-Max and Suzuki's 'not at all based on JDM Carry' All New Carry. Big problem for the rookie, as it only has a price advantage on top of the aftersales and 'the bad publicity' itself.
